Forward estimates to inform the STC target (2016 to 2018)

The small-scale technology percentage is calculated and published in the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001 each year to set the rate of liability for Renewable Energy Target liable entities under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme.

In November 2015, the Clean Energy Regulator (CER) engaged Green Energy Markets to provide a forward estimate of the number of small-scale technology certificates (STCs) likely to be created during the 2016, 2017 and 2018 calendar years. Our projections informed the setting of the 2016 STC target.

Quantifying the costs and uptake of the SRES
